Copper Mountain is a local favorite and laid back mountain with a summit elevation of 12,441 feet. Copper offers over 2500 acres of skiable terrain, making it on of Colorado's largest ski and snowboard resorts. With 157 marked trails on the mountain and 25 km of cross country trails through the White River National Forest, Copper has no shortage of trails to explore. If skiing isn't the top of your list, Copper also offers ice skating, snowshoeing, ski or snowshoe with a ranger, snow maze, tubing, an alpine coaster and more.
Copper Mountain has a wonderful "hang out" atmosphere at the base of the mountain, with many restaurants to sit outside by fire pits and watch skiers coming down the mountain. Be sure to check the Copper Mountain calendar of events because there is often bands playing and activities to end your day.
Lift Tickets prices can change at anytime so to receive a discount, lift tickets must be purchased at least one day in advance. Lift tickets are loaded onto a Copper Card which is a reusable, reloadable card. Copper Mountain also offers Military Discount Lift Tickets.
Copper Mountain parking during normal winter operating hours is free in the Alpine & Far East Lots and will require catching a free shuttle bus to the base area. There are also paid parking lots (Ten Mile Lot, Chapel Lot, Union Creek Lot, Beeler Lot and Wheeler Lot) which are closer to the base and prices will vary throughout the season. You can pay for parking using a QR code posted in each lot. Parking reservations will only be available for the Chapel Lot this winter. If you would like to make a parking reservation ahead of time for the Chapel Lot, CLICK HERE or download the ParkWhiz app. Note that the Chapel Lot will offer guests the opportunity to purchase parking upon arrival, so even if you reserve a spot, it does not mean parking is guaranteed.
Copper Mountain also offers great summer activities including golf, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing wall, the Rocky Mountain Coaster, zip line, bumper boats, bungee trampoline, go karts, Woodward Barn sessions and more! Plus great events all summer including national bands and festivals like the Colorado BBQ Challenge, Union Peak Festival and more.
