Keystone Resort is a very family friendly mountain and also the largest ski area in Summit County, Colorado with more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain across 3 peaks. From gentle groomers, rolling cruisers and steep bumps, to gladed terrain, and powder-filled bowls, Keystone is the perfect playground for all ability levels from beginners to rippers. Don’t wait to buy lift tickets as lift tickets will be limited this season. Check out the Epic Day Pass which gives you the flexibility to pick from 1-7 days and customize your resorts, with savings up to 65% compared to lift tickets. Snow is falling, resorts are opening so get on the slopes! If you don't get enough skiing during the day, remember Keystone also offers night skiing! Don't miss the brand new Bergman express lift, opening up access to 500+ acres of high alpine terrain so there's more room to play plus 1,300+ acres of hike-to terrain to explore at Keystone.
In the winter, check out the mountain top Snow Tubing, Dinner and Scenic Sleigh Rides, cross Country Skiing or snowshoeing at the Keystone Nordic Center, the huge Snow Fort, Ice Skating at Dercum Square and much more!
Keystone is also a great place in the summer with hiking and mountain biking trails, mountain top yoga, horse riding, scenic wagon rides, summer snow tubing, two amazing golf courses, paddles boats at Lakeside Village, and fun summer activities at River Run like gem panning, bungee trampoline and so much more. There are Scenic gondola rides (in summer and winter!) plus fun festivals all summer like the Bacon & Bourbon Festival, Wine & Jazz Festival, Art Festival, Bluegrass & Beer Festival, Oktoberfest and much more!
Keystone offers both free and paid parking options. They also have small wagons available to help haul your gear from parking lots (as available)! Free Parking Lots include the River Run gondola Lot, North Shuttle/Tenderfoot and Powerline (Powerline has no shuttle service unless actively parked by parking department). Our top pick is the River Run lot. Paid Parking Lots are available at Mountain House West Lot A/B and Mountain House East for a shorter walk to the lifts -- but these are not in the main village area.
Check out upcoming events at Warren Station, right in the heart of River Run Village! Keystone also has an array of festivals every year. You can view all Keystone events HERE!
Just a heads up, Keystone Resort's River Run gondola area is currently under construction with some new condo buildings so it might be some chaos in the area :)

There are lots of restaurants with outdoor seaing (in summer and winter) in the River Run area of keystone. We especially love Steep Brewing and Coffee Co. and Kickapoo Tavern just across the bridge from the gondola. Both are great places to have happy hour and watch everyone walking off the slopes after a day of skiing. Fun atmosphere!
There is a great play structure for kids right across from Steep Brewing Co while you hang out, kids can play!
We love the free River Run gondola parking lot -- it has preferred up front parking for families (traveling with children 12 and under in the car) and HOV with 4+ guests available on a first-come, first-served basis while available!
If you have someone not skiing, there is a great "drop off" area at the front of the Mountain House West Lot and Mountain House East Lot. You may not park in the drop off area for an extended time.
Just a heads up, there is quite a bit of construction happening next to the gondola in River Run Village.
