There is SO MUCH to do right is Dillon during the summer but if you want to venture out of the area, there are many beautiful mountain towns to visit that offer plentry of outdoor activities, restaurants, festivals, events and much more.
Our top favorites to walk around and explore the towns are Frisco, Breckenridge and Vail.
The other towns have lots of fun things to do as well if you'd like some adventure or festivals.
Here are few towns near by you may want to check out....
Frisco is a charming little mountain town with restaurants and local shops along Main Street. In the summer, Frisco offers outdoor dining and a short walk to the Frisco Marina to enjoy a mini "beach", boat rentals or a walk along Dillon Reservoir. Check out the Frisco Adventure Park for fun activities in the winter and the summer! Frisco also hosts events throughout the summer, including a Concert In The Park Series, an old-fashioned 4th of July parade and many other events. We love riding our bikes from Dillon along the Dillon Bike Rec Path to spend a few hours in Frisco for lunch! If you don't want to ride back, you could always catch the water taxi back to Dillon!
